| The
Government of India initiated a Cancer Control
Program in order to create consciousness among
general masses and to eradicate the human
habits that may lead to the dreaded disease.
This Institute has been actively involved
in this program. To cope with the requirements,
Cancer Control Programs were undertaken in
various cities, towns & villages including
rural and backward areas of West Bengal by
CCWH & RI. The endeavour is to educate
people about the preventable aspects of cancer
and early detection. Towards promoting awareness
on cancer the Institute produced two short
Docu-Feature Films and assisted in production
